For those of you that have avoided the papers recently, you may have missed the UN’s IPCC report on climate change. The report dramatically emphasized that without large-scale action, we have less than 12 years left until there’s irreversible damage to the environment. Bye bye wildlife, clean oceans and breathable air!
With the fashion industry being a major contributor to global warming, innovative change is essential. Good Design Australia awards innovative design, with Fashion Revolution winning ‘Best in Class’ 2018 for its important role campaigning for human and environmental change in the fashion industry. Fashion Revolution, set up post Rana Plaza collapse in 2013, has been demanding greater transparency and improvement in supply chains specifically in workers rights and environmental issues.
As part of this award, Fashion Revolution also won the MAAS Design Award 2018 and with it, an exhibition at The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. The four brands showcasing the future of fashion include KITX, A.BCH, Rachael Cassar and Citizen Wolf!
Here at Citizen Wolf, we are redesigning people’s relationship with clothes for a positive impact. With one third of all clothing sold every year worn once or less, we created an innovative life cycle for wardrobe classics to last longer. We have a fast 3-step process to slam-dunk a made to measure tee to you, which last with free repairs. Oh, you can also be safe in the knowledge that your garment is certified with Ethical Clothing Australia, having been made in our inner city Sydney factory which you can visit through the week.
We are exceptionally honoured to be on display alongside change makers in the fashion space. Get yourself to the Powerhouse before March 16, full details below.
